Terms of Use

1. Purpose

These terms of use govern the stay rules applicable to any person occupying the gîte or bed and breakfast accommodation at Au Pré Verger, located at 294 chemin de la Font Devay, 69210 L'Arbresle. Any reservation implies full and unconditional acceptance of these rules.

2. Check-in and Check-out

• Check-in: from 4:00 PM. Any other time must be agreed in advance with the owner.
• Check-out: before 11:00 AM. The accommodation must be vacated and the keys returned by that time.
• In case of late arrival or early departure not notified, additional charges may apply.

3. Capacity and Occupancy

The number of people occupying the accommodation cannot exceed the maximum capacity indicated at the time of booking. Any additional person must be declared and accepted by the owner before arrival. Failure to comply with this rule may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund.

4. Pets

Pets are not accepted in the accommodations, unless explicitly agreed in advance by the owner. If authorized, the animal must be kept on a leash in common and outdoor areas. Any damage caused by a pet will be charged to the tenant.

5. Smoking and Substances

• It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the accommodations and covered common areas.
• Tobacco consumption is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
• The consumption of any illicit substance is prohibited on the entire property.

6. Noise and Quiet Hours

Out of respect for neighbours and other guests, tenants agree to maintain a reasonable noise level, particularly between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Loud parties and gatherings are prohibited. Repeated violations of this rule may result in termination of the stay.

7. Use of Equipment

Tenants agree to use the equipment provided (appliances, furniture, bedding, outdoor spaces) in a reasonable manner consistent with normal use. Any breakdown or malfunction must be reported to the owner as soon as possible. It is forbidden to move furniture without prior authorisation.

8. Cleanliness and Inventory

• A check-in inventory is carried out upon arrival. A check-out inventory is conducted upon departure.
• The accommodation must be returned in a satisfactory state of cleanliness: dishes done, rubbish taken out, bins emptied.
• End-of-stay cleaning is included in the booking, but additional charges may be billed in case of damage or excessive dirt.

9. Security Deposit

A security deposit may be requested at the time of booking or upon arrival. It will be returned within 7 days after departure, minus any costs related to damage, excessive dirt, or missing items. Any damage identified will be documented and reported to the tenant.

10. Tenant Liability

The tenant is responsible for any damage caused to the accommodation, furniture, equipment, or outdoor areas during their stay. It is advisable to check that your home insurance covers damage caused in a holiday rental. The owner declines all liability for theft, loss, or damage affecting tenants' personal belongings during the stay.

11. Outdoor Spaces and Property Animals

The outdoor spaces (garden, meadow, orchard) are available to tenants while respecting the wildlife and flora present. Chickens, ducks, sheep, and cats live on the property: tenants are welcome to approach them, feed them, and collect eggs, only with the food provided by the owner. It is forbidden to give them any other food. Children must be supervised in their presence.

12. Termination of Stay

The owner reserves the right to terminate the stay without refund in case of serious or repeated breach of these conditions, particularly in cases of public disturbance, intentional damage, or behaviour endangering the safety of persons or property.
